Statement

On behalf of the family of Michael Finocchiaro, aka Mickey Carroll, I would like to express their sincere gratitude for the many outpourings of love for Mickey.  Mickey was indeed a remarkably kind and generous man and is deeply missed by all who knew him.  

​Additionally, please know that the family shares your desire to have Mickey’s name added to the Walk of Fame in the Delmar Loop, and applaud your efforts on his behalf.  They also wanted me to assure you that the signing of Mickey’s final resting place will be completed as soon as possible.

Finally, and regrettably, there are many rumors circulating on various blogs and in the news media regarding Mickey and his relationship with his family.  While it is extremely distressing for Mickey’s loved ones to read these rumors, they do not believe that any purpose would be served by their responding to such malicious and untrue hearsay.  

As we hope you can appreciate, Mickey Carroll was a very public figure, but this is a private matter to the family.  As such, the family of Michael Finocchiaro will not be making any further statements in this regard.

There are several blogs and facebook pages written about Mickey - most are full of misinformation or hype - the people supporting these sites just want to use Mickey's notoriety to draw attention to their own websites and blogs.
